Alessandro Crimi (born February 25th, 1983 in Feldkirch, Austria) is an electronic music producer, DJ and record collector based in Switzerland. Music always has been his big passion.
It all started very early when he found some real gems in his parents’ record collection from the likes of Kraftwerk, Pink Floyd, Pet Shop Boys or Depeche Mode which he really loved.

He is known for his deep and Dub influenced DJ sets, and many people say that he is a true specialist for playing warm ups. His own music has been released on various vinyl and
digital labels like Sthlmaudio, Italic, Broque, Etui, Waehlscheibe, Biotop and many others.

In 2012 he has started the vinyl label ‘Waehlscheibe’ which he is running together with his friends.

Insect O. made a video for his remix of Alessandro Crimi’s Space Cocktail. The shots were taken in New York last year.

The track has been released on ETUILTD007 Alessandro Crimi – Quantum Realm Remixes. Vinyl 12″ and digital is out in July 2014.

Born in Austria and raised in Switzerland, Alessandro Crimi has always been consumed by music. He began learning the piano at the age of eight and later moved on to discover software-synthesizers. Crimi continues to explore various approaches to creating music, producing ambient, dub, house and minimal techno, but regardless of the genre he always keeps it deep and sultry. Crimi’s work has appeared on such labels as Italic, Broque, Geilomat, Sthlmaudio Recordings and many others.

On A Night In The Forest, Alessandro Crimi delivers seamless quality dub techno inspired grooves. Nachtwald opens with echoing chords and panning effects combined with a steady 4/4 rhythm, propelling the listener forward. Nebelwald is a gradual building atmospheric dub techno soundscape, immersing you deep within its floating textures. Waldlichtung closes the EP with a beautiful soft dub techno composition with light floating ambiance and textural crackling.

Here is the man from St Gallen (Switzerland) who has a sense for laid-back grooving Dubsounds. While his releases already appeared on Italic, Sthlm Audio or Broque.de and include the well-known track “Dubweiser”, he also regularly demonstrated his strong abilities as a DJ.

Alessandros tracks get along with just a few ingredients but always manage to produce a full-bodied and warm sound. He shapes journeys through the most diverse landscapes drifting from underwater worlds into space. Building on an inspiring deepness, his music actually aims at infinity.
