[Free Tune] Deepchord – Jeanneau

Unless you have been living under a rock the last few months you probably know about the eagerly awaited second album from Deepchord. To celebrate the imminent release date Soma Records and Deepchord have kindly given away a free track (in lovely .wav).

As we eagerly await the release of Deepchord’s second album on Soma entitled ‘Sommer’, we have a free track available for download which does not feature on the album!

Jeanneau is typical Deepchord in every detail. From the lush ambience to the perfectly processed field recordings. A track that ebbs & flows beautifully from start to finish…

Pre order Sommer from the Soma Records shop

The deepchord/echospace discograph is growing fast and I was in two minds about whether to buy Sommer as I want to spend more time getting into other Dub Techno artists. Silent Season is my lable of the moment. However, listening to this free track its obvious this is another unmissable release. Nice blog by the way.

Yes the good thing about dub techno is that there are plenty of free netlabels out there releasing the same, if not better quality music. Silent Season is a great label, just visit this blog a few times a week and you’ll have plenty to keep you occupied while you decide to purchase a copy or not 🙂

I’ve been addicted to Echospace’s “Silent World” LP released last month and now this! It’s hard to keep up with these fella’s, as for a “better” alternative to DeepChord & Echospace I haven’t found one and certainly not for free. As a 20 year veteran of the whole Chicago, Detroit & Berlin house and techno axis I would be hard pressed to name anyone who’s left the mark or impression on this form of music since Basic Channel were releasing music. I love it all but there’s something very special about Detroit’s DeepChord camp.

Also, nice Blog, about time someone devoted time to a very special sound.

Haven’t had a chance to listen to the silent world lp yet but im looking forward to it.

I agree you to some degree about the quality of their music, alot of the time you don’t get there polished production for free. They are truly legends , but as with all forms of art its merely subjective, there are tracks of their’s that I don’t like and could pick many free releases from my own netlabel Drift Deeper Recordings above some of their tracks.

This free track from them was a massive surprise.

I hope they still have a few years left in them 🙂

And thanks for the kind words about the blog.
