Oceania mix : ambient oceanic waves

Ocean waves, tranquility and ambient. Seems a fitting match. Being in a meditative state of mind, attempting to clear out all thoughts and rid myself of negative energy, I put together a mix to compliment my meditation. As the water sways in waves, so does my breath, and so does everything else. In moment of eternal bliss, we long for calm and no place is calmer than the ocean. This ambient mix with a touch of dub is meant to relax your mind and take the stress away.

Variant – Vortexual [tape sessions] series collection

This release features the sonic worlds of variant’s “vortexual” tape session series (all 8 editions are included) which has never been available in digital format. An expansive collection of all the developments which took place over the course of 4 years of recording this epic project. The sound design and vast array of analog circuitry illuminates these recordings with an ocean like depth, diving deeper than some of the original releases.

Ulro – Silver Dawns (Video)

“What disturbs and depresses young people is the hunt for happiness on the firm assumption that it must be met with in life. From this arises constantly deluded hope and so also dissatisfaction. Deceptive images of a vague happiness hover before us in our dreams, and we search in vain for their original. Much would have been gained if, through timely advice and instruction, young people could have had eradicated from their minds the erroneous notion that the world has a great deal to offer them.”

“Man can do what he wills but he cannot will what he wills.”

Arthur Schopenhauer

Tiefenrausch 012 – Federsen (incl. Brendon Moeller Remix) – The Myth EP

With the next and twelfth instalment of Tiefenrausch the dub techno label sets foot on the new continent again. The deep sea journey is joined by San Fransisco based artist Federsen and Bran- don Moeller aka Echologist or Beat Pharmacy – who contributed a remix to the three track EP.

“The Myth EP” represents Federsen raw and analogue signature sound. Warm and distorted machine noises create the pad for minimal drum patterns, bass grooves and accentuated chord echoes. On the A-Side Federsen shows us his unique style with “Contrasts”. Brandon Moeller on the other hand contributes his own sound and rounds up the EP with dubbed intrepretation of Federsens “Murmer”. The EP ends with the original version of that track.

The release is designed by Alex Ketzer who joins in for a collaboration with the illustrators Mag- dalena Paz and Florian Gassmann for the next ve releases of the Tiefenrausch label. The audio is mastered by SALZ music and the EP comes on 180g vinyl and shrink wrapped.
