We proudly present producer Matthias Springer who recently joined the Dreiton community. Beside his music projects and numerous releases he did for labels as Eintakt, Hypnotic Room and Bullet:Dodge, Matthias runs various own labels focusing electronic music styles as techno, house and dub.

Therefore dub techno dominates his release for Dreiton. In his tracks deep and driving basses respond to rhythmical structures and floating organic sounds. The EP furthermore offers remixes by Lars Leonhard, Matteo Pitton, Telly Quin and Frank Hellmond. These guys interpret Matthias‘ sound in their unique style completing this total work of art in electronic music.

[Release] Matthias Springer – Erosion EP (Eintakt)

Loving the 2 first tracks on the EP. The chords remind me of one of my favourite Ohrwert tracks, only with a more up-tempo beat laid over them. Basiskanal has some of my favourite chords, far reaching, deep and organic is the best way I can describe them. Don’t hear this enough in the chords of dub techno track but Matthias has pulled it off beautifully.

Eintakt Rauhphaser 29, with the Erosion Ep Matthias Springer follows a reduced experimental sound, which is coined by that lofi decay that water causes on soil and stones during the course of time, surrounded by energetic kickdrums, soft basslines and discreet formed percussive elements. The -Karge Welten- Rmx, produced by Dub Taylor runs out of the speakers at prime time, driving dub techno with a tempest of hi hats and sound effects.

The original is still my favourite but these remixes take the track to all sorts of different vibes, and it’s what I love about remix ep’s.

It just took a long time on Matthias Springers “Gletscher” project for hooking up some of his close friendly producers around, thats why we have to release the DREX013 when the DREX014 was already on stock… Sum up for the whole spectrum in deep electronic sounds Matthias invited some really great deep artists to remix the original. Mattias Fridell starts with great techno vibes on dry kicks and soft pads. Byron Bogues and Lars Leonhard got in touch with that epic styled deephouse and laidback synth-loops flying around. Matteo Pitton did a fusion of downtempo breaks and minimal dubhouse just as intro for the techhouse sounds on a discreet Model 1975 remix, closing up with the lush original and that cold, glassy pling-plong hookling that got all remixes as basic hook.
