Our second Thrumcast for 2014 , compiled and mixed entirely on vinyl, is brought to us by Thrum Room co-founder Helmut J.

“What started as a simple listen/mix session, turned out to be the selection I’m happy with to showcase my own understanding of the foggy & warm sound known as dub techno and dub infused house.”

Originating from Johannesburg, Helmut J is known mostly for his versatile flowing journeys into ambient & deeper Tech House, and more so for his darker penchant for Minimal & Dub Techno. Helmut is now based in Cape Town where he has been drawing on his creative energy in the form of production.
