Alexandre is from France and is a producer of electronic music…… This is part of an interview for DeepInDub: “My name is Alexandre Lehmann and Zzzzra is the name of my main music project. I have been producing electronic music since the late 80’s. During that time I was working in my adolescent bedroom, using a brand new Roland D-20, creating stupid love songs without lyrics. I then moved to the living room when I finally grew up and sold all my gear – except for my mighty Nord Modular – to focus on creating music with a computer. Thats about the only big difference in my producing modus operandi since then. Well, except that now I’m a drug addict, but thats another story. I like to wear slippers when I’m producing music, but sometimes its a bit warm out there so I have to go barefoot. I have the feeling that Im more creative when I have a beard. When I shave, everything goes wrong I often drink bottles of soda (with a lot of sugar in it) that are just above my keyboard. This occasionally means big trouble!! Starting to DJ with friends at a youth club and illegal parties in Leipzig, he went on spinning Techno records till 1997. After a three-year-detour over Hip Hop – Markus was a DJ of local sound crews – he eventually came back to 4/4 rhythms. Joining various party crews in Leipzig, Markus made himself a name as a highly skilled Techno DJ. At the same time, Markus came to appreciate Minimal sounds – long before it became the hype it is today. Till this day, harder UK Techno and Minimal stuff are his main influences. Torres, David Cardeña (Vs/Kurayami)… Vs/Kurayami is a project that has united two continents, the American Tony Torres, and Spaniard David Cardeña. Tony Torres has a wide experience with visual media and photography. Now he has entered the realms of exploring new closer sounds with electronic music, between IDM and Dub. He composes his own music under the name of Atabey.

David Cardeña has been involved in several musical projects under the name of Onka Onichi, Infrasound, Ring Nebula, etc, he has publish several traks on vinyl and has done live performances around Spain as well as performed in several festivals. He has worked with record labels Jaxx Record, Palace Recording, Soleil Records, Ornithopter, Schall, Subversive Media, etc. He has producer a diverse style of musical projects under these labels, from Dub Techno, Deep House, Tech House, Ambient, Detroit, etc. Together they invoice Dub Techno, dark, melodic and evocative. Inspired by the German roots of Basic Channel, Chain Reaction, Monolake and Maurizio.
