A massive journey into deep Dubtechno, close to 3 hours of sound exploration.
On his sixth album, german producer Smooth lays the musical path from noisy, Ambient influenced spheres to Detroit influenced textures and soundscapes.
Inspired by earlier releases of labels like Echochord, Echospace Detroit or Chain Reaction, this album nicely blends all styles together into one meditative and hypnotic musical experience.
16 tracks are waiting for your personal exploration!

Classic Zzzzra sound on this one, love it! Immanence is the inaugural release on Romance born from a creative partnership between the sonic world, and it’s symbiotic visual realm.
A collaborative project; the first of a ten part series, Immanence marries dub techno connoisseur Zzzzra with UK photographer Katelyn Playford in their own artistic realisations of philosophical theories of divine presence. Tasked with sound tracking Immanence into four dub techno masterpieces; Zzzzra’s own sensual and romantic interpretation of immanence transcends through the eyes of Katelyn’s striking photography, manifesting into a visual immanent of the female aura. The resulting destination is a thought provoking piece of sensory art that implores to suggest that, much like the purity and sexuality of the female form; neither the simplicity of the visual, nor the intensity of the auditory, can exist in a world without the other.

Five years ago, I made a mix called From Krautrock to kosmische musik. As I was making the mix, I discovered Julian Cope’s book called ”Krautrocksampler” In that book lies a section which is quite interesting for me, as an avid cosmic traveller and ambient buff. The section is about ”Kosmische music”. Two years ago, I ordered the long out of print book and read it all so quickly, fascinated by this amazing insight in German culture, music and more importantly, how the music came to be crafted and by whom.
I had started collecting Krautrock before, but I found myself more drawn towards the cosmic movement than the rhythm based motorik style known as Krautrock. Musicians like Klaus Schulze, Popol vuh, Ashra, Edgar Froese (RIP), Harmonia and of course, Tangerine dream. So came the idea of making a mix on beatless cosmic german tracks known as ”kosmische musik”. I gathered my favorite albums, and made the mix. I have seen Tangerine dream live twice and would like to dedicate this mix to the late Edgar Froese. The man may be no longer on Earth with us, but his music will live on forever… And let yourself be ”very cosmic” (Sehr kosmisch) for over an hour together !

Through darkness comes light takes the listener on a journey through the fog filled mountains of Indonesia. Through darkness comes light isolates the movements of nature and the artists experience, resulting in new sonic landscapes that reveal an inseparable relationship between music and soundscape. The natural orchestra is presented in a dream-like manner as diverse as the landscape itself. The sounds will have you drift through different states of mind.
